The Saraswati Vidyalaya is one of the oldest educational institutes and is the result of the demand for quality education for the children of the Mira Bhayandar region. The school which was started with only four classrooms and 40 students, 43 years ago, has more than 2500 students now.
As Swami Vivekananda has rightly said, “We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.” We take immense pride in the fact that the school has given the country many engineers, doctors and chartered accountants over the years. There is one thing that is never compromised here and that is quality education. We believe that good teachers are essential for quality education and it gives me great pleasure that the school has some of the most honest, dedicated, hard-working and academically strong legacy staff in the region.
Caring teachers, a well sought out state board syllabus and state of the art infrastructure along with focus on co-curricular activities has resulted in The Saraswati Vidyalaya being known as one of the reputed state board schools in the region. Even though we are one of the oldest institutes, we have adapted ourselves to the changing times and make sure that our students are up-to-date with the latest technologies, hence computer education is imparted to our students right from Standard 1st.We believe that education is imparted by teachers and not machines hence, our teachers only make use of modern technologies in audio-visual room to make understanding easy and interesting, as a teaching aid, we don’t believe that technology can replace gurus.
The overwhelming support, love, affection and co-operation of people and parents of Mira-Bhayandar growing with each passing year motivates us to give best education possible to our new generation of learners.
